Hectic
Monday was supposedly a short day but ended up staying back till 4.30 to do the backdrop for the Founders' Day Concert. It was so hot in the amphitheatre, yet we had to stand so long under the sun for some half and hour just to get the measurements of the backdrop. Not just that, after that we had to use the chalks to do some brief outlines on the cloth in the tennis court behind the Design and Technology room. That was equally hot. Then tennis people wanted to use the court so we moved, again, to somewhere outside the gymnasium. So the whole afternoon we were having sun tan. 'Cause my father had something on so he asked me to wait at school till 5.30. But in the end Uncle Kheng Guan came to fetch me with my mother. So yesterday was the second time in thirteen years, seven months, and 15 days of my lifetime I ever sat in a lorry! Hell windy, no wonder Uncle Kheng Guan's hair always looks unkempt. He left after fetching us to Aunt Grace's house, my mother wanted to get her to sign some documents. Did a lil' homework there, went home.
Valentine's- Tuesday there was Art. Secondary One Orientation, it was much more interesting than last year's stupid ice breakers which didn't much break the ice. There was this Crossword Puzzle where we had to find all the words related to Art and I don't know so many of them.
Dadaism: A European artistic and literary movement (1916-1923) that flouted conventional aesthetic and cultural values by producing works marked by nonsense, travesty, and incongruity.
And there were many other words ending with 'ism'. Okay, people in Chanel (my group): Si Min, Eileen Ho, Xuewei, Eileen, Cheryl, Zhi Hua, Gloria, Yu Xi/ Yu Xin, Ying Xi, Tianyuan. I think that's all, my memory's good. I reached home at almost eight that day. Wan En called but we hung up pretty soon 'cause I had to do homework, no, corrections for a Mathematics Quiz which I scored a lucky number 7. That's upon 30.
Today, pretty fine. The electrical supplies were deliberately cut off till recess. To remind us of Total Defence Day? Yeah, we had the once in a lifetime opportunity to admire the greenery outside our classroom on the oh-so-high 4th floor (or 5th if you include the basement). The trees near the windows are leaves-less anyway. Higher Chinese lesson was rotting time at the amphitheatre. We were supposed to discuss about some Chinese comprehension, then Geography was discussion at the Guides table. We were provided with biscuits for recess, food rationing. Oh, such an eventful day. By the way, my hamster escaped from its cage this morning. Fortunately my father spotted it, if not we would have squashed it by chance or something. I have freakin' 228 mails in my Yahoo! mail, 184 unread. Flooded with mails from Art Club, and now I'm browsing them to find mails I have to patronize.
My handphone is an alarm clock, a camera, an MP3 player, a game machine. It's not a phone. I don't SMS and call people a lot. But I need, want, have one to feel secured.
She's strong, really.
